From 26-28 October 2026, the Africa Healthcare Manufacturing Trade Exhibition and Conference (AHMTEC) 2026 will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hosted by the Federation of African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations (FAPMA) and Vizuri Health Dynamics under the Theme: Collaborate, Innovate, Manufacture: Shaping the Future of African Medicines Together.

Africa imports over 70% of its pharmaceutical products and 99% of its vaccines and medical devices from overseas. For a continent of over 1.4 billion people with a fast-growing population and persistent gaps in access to essential medicines, that dependence is a health-security risk. The COVID-19 pandemic made this visible when global supply chains struggled.
